“Tomorrow becomes never. No matter how small the task, take the first step now."
Tim Ferris
The greatest journeys always begin with the first step. Sometimes we can get so overwhelmed with the task ahead, or thinking we have to do it in a certain way, or perhaps even a bit of analysis paralysis that we fail to take the first step. In getting caught in these various patterns we can often delay, avoid or completely stop doing the simple small task, and the next step that will help move us forward in our goals and vision.
How many times have you thought...I'll get to that tomorrow and before you know if tomorrow has turned to a week, a month, a year or it never gets done. How many dreams have been delayed or never achieved because we simply put off taking the first step, or handling the small task. Putting it off only delays you achieving your goals and dreams. Of course we can and have all found many reasons, or possibly excuses of why we haven't completed the small task and the next step. Some seem quite valid...I'm to busy at work, I have so many projects on my plate, I'm dealing with a health challenge, family challenge...the list or excuses can be endless. Many of which all sound very convincing, even to ourselves. Before we know it the time has slipped by and today has turned to dozens of tomorrows.
We all have the same amount of time in the day. Those special 24 hours that each is given in a set day. Isn't it amazing how some people seem to produce so much, achieve so much and create so much with those same 24 hours.
It all comes down to taking the steps, and completing the task, both big and small. Don't let the small task get swept to the side and ignored. Sometimes completing the small task moves you forward in the completion of the bigger task, and eventually your big goal or project completion.
You know what they say, if you don't run the day, the day runs you! It all begins with your vision, a plan, and tackling those task one at a time. So why not start today, list our your goal and break it down into steps, and then break it down further into to task. You'll find that planning and focusing on those small task isn't as overwhelming as looking at, analyzing and getting stuck in overwhelm of the big picture. Tackle those small task today and you will have brighter tomorrows filled with satisfaction instead of regret. Now focus and tackle that small task and take the next step forward to your future.
